DAVID BALAT OFFICIALLY PUTS HIS NAME ON THE REPUBLICAN BALLOT FOR TEXAS' CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 2 David Balat is the first viable candidate to place his name on the ballot for Texas' Congressional District 2 Houston, Texas – David Balat, a Healthcare professional and former Hospital CEO, has formally announced his campaign to run in the Republican Primary in Texas' Second Congressional District. Upon his official filling on the ballot at the Harris County Republican Primary Office, conservative businessman David Balat released the following statement: “Earlier today I officially filed with the Harris County Republican Party to be on the ballot in Congressional District 2. I want to thank Judge Poe for his many years of public service on the bench and in the halls of Congress. He leaves large shoes to fill, but I am up to the task. “This decision comes after 9 months of campaigning and the unfortunate aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. With our family home destroyed, and all our possessions lost, we were forced to find temporary housing. That’s when grassroots and conservative leaders in District 2 began asking if the switch would be something I would consider. The Texas Second is home to an industry I know well and as a healthcare executive, I have run many facilities and created jobs in the district. After 9 long months as the conservative running for Congress, it was clearly providence that brought us to this moment. “Since March, we have run a positive, conservative, grassroots campaign, and we are gaining support and endorsements in Harris County. My message is the same now as it was before. Republicans have complete control of all three branches of government, yet Congress continues to increase the debt. Our representatives are trying to bring back earmarks, the VA hospital system is still broken, we have people trying to fix a healthcare industry they don’t understand, and politicians are more interested with their own longevity in office than in serving the people they represent.   “I want to be your next Republican Congressman because it is time that WE the people take back our government. I am ready to be the next conservative leader to represent Texas' Congressional District 2." For questions please contact Donna Stanart at Donna@DavidBalat.com or (832) 915 - 0061. ###
